At the moment, we are looking for new fosters on the island who are willing to temporarily open their hearts and homes to a few very sweet puppies who deserve a second chance. 🙏
✨ Why are fosters so important?
A foster family means for a puppy:
• A safe place to relax and decompress;
• Love, care, and socialization;
• The opportunity to learn what it’s like to live in a home;
• A better start on the path to a forever home.
Without fosters, we simply cannot help these puppies. We truly need you! 💪🏼 Thanks to a temporary warm and loving home, they get the chance to grow, build confidence, and eventually be adopted by their own family. 🏡

Meet Clipper, a sweet and loyal five-year-old companion who has been living in the Netherlands for some time.
He has a big heart and an even bigger devotion to his person.
Due to physical circumstances, his owner has had to make the heartbreaking decision to let him go. Because he is so deeply loved, we are now searching for a home where he can truly thrive again.
Clipper can walk off-leash once he feels comfortable and stays nicely connected. He is intelligent, eager to learn, and very focused on his handler. He loves working together and enjoys clear, loving guidance.
Long walks, exploring the woods, and going on outdoor adventures make him happiest.
He is not used to living with young children, but older, calm children should be just fine.
Clipper is looking for more than just a home — he’s looking for his person.

In our series “How are you doing now…” sweet 🐾🐾 Pepijn 🐾🐾 Together with his sisters Pita and Pam, he arrived at the Rescue Center in November 2024. In May 2025 he moved to his forever home in the Netherlands, where he continues life as Sam. 💛 His lovely adopters share honestly and realistically that it wasn’t always easy—and the beginning was quite nerve-wracking. We are incredibly grateful for the love and patience they have given (and still give) Sam, allowing him to grow every day into the beautiful, gentle boy he is: “Sam has been with us for just over 5 months now, and he’s doing really well! He arrived in the Netherlands when he was 8 months old. Picking him up at Schiphol was very exciting: what would he be like, had everything gone well? We had already heard before the flight that he was very anxious, so we prepared for the worst. When we saw him, he was curled up in his crate. We managed to get him out, but he was so scared that he wouldn’t move a paw. In the end we lifted him and carried him to the car. Once in the back of the car, he relaxed a little. Everything was new to him. He growled at his reflection in the windows, peed in the house, was afraid of the TV, startled at everything, and didn’t want to walk outside. It really took some time before he relaxed at home and before we could take him out for walks. He bonded fairly quickly with me, and as long as I was nearby and walked him, things were okay. That was sometimes difficult for my husband, because Sam refused to walk with him for a while. It’s clear that Sam has some difficulty with men. With people he’s not immediately enthusiastic and doesn’t like to be touched—or only with difficulty—although this has improved a lot. We experienced the adoption process and guidance from Rescue Paws as very pleasant. We were kept well informed, received regular photos, and even after Sam arrived, they frequently checked in on how Sam—and we—were doing. We could ask all our questions and look back on this very positively. Mystica is just 6 months old and was likely abandoned along with her sister. Left behind, with no explanation. Fortunately, they were found by a kind woman who gave them safety when they needed it most. 💔
When a spot opened up in a foster home in Curaçao, Mystica finally got the chance to rest, feel safe, and slowly discover that life can be gentle. ✨
She is a young teen with a sweet and gentle character. Curious, sensitive, and with a big heart, everything is still new and sometimes a little scary for her, but she is ready to learn, grow, and trust.

Is €45 per month a bit too much? No problem at all! You can also become a long-distance sponsor for part of that amount — starting from just €15 per month. 💕
