🚨🐾 𝗛𝗘𝗟𝗣 🐾 𝗛𝗘𝗟𝗣 🐾 𝗛𝗘𝗟𝗣 🐾 🚨
Please help me..! My name is Gus and I am 25 weeks old. But I already weigh 17 kilos, so I’m not a little one anymore. Two weeks ago I moved to the Netherlands. Exciting!
I arrived with very kind people, I can really feel that! But I have such a tummy ache. And the stress I feel is not helping. What I really want most is some peace and quiet… with a blanket on the couch. Love and cuddles. Just something to drink and food that is good for my tummy.
Things are already getting better though! My poop is becoming firmer and I do that nicely outside. The tests at the vet didn’t show anything unusual.
But where I am now there are quite a lot of children and also another dog. It’s all just too much for me. I growl, snap and bark.
That’s why I would really love to find a nice place where I can get that peace and quiet. And the love and cuddles. A place where I can truly recover, where there are no busy children or other dogs and where I don’t have to deal with anything for a while.

Many people may not know Ron personally, but in a way, they actually do.
For 10 years, Ron has dedicated himself wholeheartedly to RPC. He collected all the benches, carefully stored them, and made sure they were shipped on the boat, eventually arriving safely with us in Curaçao. 🚢
People could bring their benches directly to him, but sending them by post was always perfectly fine too.
Ron was always there to make sure everything ran smoothly.
10 years is a long time, and that’s why we want to thank him once again for his incredible effort, dedication, and time. 🙏

Today in the Spotlight: 🐾🐾🐾 GOLDIE 🐾🐾🐾 When you ask people what they’re looking for in a dog, you sometimes get quite a wish list… The dog should be sweet, love cuddles, but also enjoy long walks. 🐾 How is Evi doing? 🐾 Sometimes we receive updates from adopters that truly make our hearts skip a beat… and this is definitely one of them! 💛 On April 17, 2025, Evi’s adopters were able to pick her up at Schiphol Airport. She traveled together with her sister in one crate, which made the journey a lot more comforting for her. ✈️🐶 The moment they saw her, they instantly fell in love. As we often explain, the first days and weeks at home were mostly about adjusting. Everything was new for Evi, so her family took things slowly and allowed her to discover the world step by step, at her own pace. 🐾 And now, half a year later? Evi has grown into an amazing, sweet and joyful dog. 💛 She: 🚗 loves car rides (because that usually means fun adventures!) 🐕 loves playing with other dogs 👋 enjoys meeting everyone she comes across People often ask her adopters what breed she is, because Evi has such a unique look. But that special mix is exactly what makes her even more one of a kind. ✨ Her adopters also shared that the entire adoption process felt very smooth and positive. From the moment they chose Evi until picking her up at Schiphol, everything was clear and well organized. And the connection doesn’t stop after adoption — they still stay in touch with her foster coordinators and the Rescue Paws team through the WhatsApp group. 💬 Stories like this remind us exactly why we do what we do. 🐾 Meet Esco – now in foster care
Esco was found along a busy road, exhausted and likely attacked by other dogs. The scars on his body tell his story. Despite everything, he never lost his trust in people.
Esco is incredibly loving, social and very people-oriented. He gets along well with other dogs, is gentle with puppies and already knows some basic commands. Most of all he wants to be close to you — following you around and happily climbing onto your lap.
Whoever chooses Esco will gain a loyal friend for life 💛🐾
🐶 Sterilizations
This week 26 sterilizations were performed, helping reduce the number of stray dogs on Curaçao 💪🐾

Volunteers from @Pawsitive.Impact.Initiative (Canada) helped at the center for two days. Thank you Erik Jan, Betty, Yvonne, Gwen and Ireen! 🙌🏼🐾
Ilse also helped a lot these past weeks — thank you! She even fell in love with Gabi, who will fly to her this Tuesday 💛

We aim to raise €3,000 so these two sweet dogs can finally live without pain. 🙏 𝗗𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗿 🐕‍🦺 He arrived almost 2 years ago as a terrified, skinny pup. With love and patience, he became a happy, gentle dog who loves belly rubs ❤️. Last summer he started limping and now needs specialist surgery flown in from the Netherlands. 𝗦𝗶𝗿𝗮 🐕 Sira’s life began with hardship. Found on the streets with severe mange, she later faced quarantine and trauma. Now her painful anal glands need surgery so she can finally live without discomfort 💔. A year ago, a group of friends from Canada visited our island. They saw the stray dogs on the streets and made a choice: they wouldn’t look away; they would take action.
They founded their own foundation, Pawsitive Impact, and went full throttle with fundraising. Vet Marika even ran the grueling New York City Marathon to turn every mile into help for our four-legged friends! 🏃‍♀️💨
Last week, the moment finally arrived. On Monday, Marika started at the clinic of our well-known Sjoerd de Groot (Veterinary Clinic Alablanca). For three days, she stood tirelessly at the operating table for sterilizations, but she did so much more:
Examining puppies and treating wounds 🩺
Catching dogs on the street to provide medical care 🐕
Tarra assisted like a pro, while the other volunteers discovered (the hard way) exactly how much puppies can poop... 🫣💩
It was hard work at our Center, but with the current explosion of puppies, this help was needed more than ever.
Thank you, thank you, thank you to the entire Pawsitive Impact team! You have made a real difference for the dogs of Curaçao. We truly hope this is just the beginning of a wonderful partnership. See you soon! 🐾❤️

From April 30 through June 24, animal physiotherapist Jet Steur will be on Curaçao.
During this period she will also be checking our dogs, but there is still space available to help your animal as well..
